Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Architect to join our team at Lyte Fiber, LLC. As a key member of our Network Operations team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Design and Implementation: Design and implement network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers, to meet the needs of our growing fiber network.
  • Network Maintenance: Ensure resilient and redundant network architecture, monitor performance, and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  • Network Security: Implement and maintain network security practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access control lists, to protect our network from threats.
  • Project Management: Plan and execute network expansion projects, document network configurations, changes, and standard operating procedures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network solutions with business needs.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or ten years of equivalent experience, with certifications like CCNA or CCNP being advantageous.
  • Network Engineering Expertise: Extensive experience in network engineering, design, and implementation, particularly in an FTTH service provider environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies, including BGP-LS, IS-IS, MPLS, RSVP, Pseudo-wires, VPLS, EVPN, IPv4, IPv6, CGNAT, Peering, VLANs, TCP/IP, and VPNs.
  • Vendor Experience: Experience with routing and switching equipment from vendors like Nokia and Calix.
  • On-Site Work: This is a non-remote position that requires an on-site presence at our Houston headquarters.
