About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Emory University, specializing in the treatment of eating disorders in children and adolescents. This is a full-time position, with a split between direct clinical care and administrative responsibilities.

Job Description

This role will involve working within our general outpatient clinic and potentially our medical stabilization inpatient service. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will provide evidence-based evaluation and treatment for a diverse population of children with various eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, atypical anorexia, and avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID).

You will participate in program development, lead individual, family, and group therapy treatments, and independently perform procedures, collect and analyze clinical data, and make decisions regarding patient care. Collaboration with child and adolescent psychiatrists, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners, behavioral and mental health therapists, and nurse case managers will be essential in developing and implementing comprehensive care plans.

The successful candidate will also have opportunities for program development across our acute clinical care settings and may provide supervision and leadership for masters-level clinicians within the eating disorders program.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience with evidence-based treatment for eating disorders, including family-based treatment (FBT) and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), with optimal experience in DBT and ACT
  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA/CPA accredited program and completion of an APA-accredited child internship
  • Licensure or licensure-eligible in Georgia prior to employment and board certification within hospital timelines
