About the Position

Emory University seeks a skilled and compassionate clinical psychologist to join our Faculty Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) as a resident wellness specialist. This unique opportunity is designed to provide targeted behavioral health, education, and outreach services for over 1,450 medical residents and fellows in training.

The selected candidate will be part of the Behavioral Mental Health team of FSAP, Emory University's internal employee assistance program, and work closely with the School of Medicine's Graduate Medical Education (GME) Office. Key responsibilities include providing direct clinical services, consultation, training, and program development. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working with physicians and a strong understanding of graduate medical education environments.

About the Role

  • Provide comprehensive mental health and well-being assessments, psychotherapy, clinical consultations, coaching services, case management, crisis intervention, and critical incident response.
  • Offer leadership consultations, training, and education workshops on topics such as burnout prevention, resilience, change management, and stress management.
  • Develop and maintain a referral network of medical and mental health providers and create resource directories for GME and FSAP websites.
  • Collaborate with GME and FSAP colleagues to evaluate program impact and develop research projects promoting academic scholarship.

About You

  • A doctorate in counseling or clinical psychology with two years of psychological counseling experience.
  • Licensed as a Psychologist or license eligible in Georgia is required.
