Job Overview:
The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a qualified individual to join our team as an Adjunct Faculty member in the Medical Laboratory Science discipline. This role involves teaching and guiding students in their academic journey within the field of medical laboratory science.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Must possess MLS (ASCP)CM certification or an equivalent credential.
  • A minimum of three years of professional experience in the medical laboratory field is required.
  • All faculty members must hold at least a Master's degree in the relevant field or discipline, with a minimum of 18 credit hours in coursework pertinent to the subjects being taught.
  • In certain instances, significant professional experience may be considered as a substitute for formal educational qualifications, subject to approval by the Provost.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in clinical chemistry is highly desirable.
  • Previous teaching experience in a higher education setting is preferred.
