Position Overview:

We are currently in search of a proficient Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer to contribute to a distinctive mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver E3 support throughout the complete life cycle of Navy systems and vessels, from pre-acquisition through to sustainment.
  • Engage in upfront EMC engineering during the development phase, conducting RF characterization testing to ensure precise high-fidelity E3 analyses and assessments, both shipboard and land-based, to evaluate and quantify integration risks in the operational Electromagnetic Environment (EME).
  • Design and develop custom RF components, implementing operational concepts such as frequency management strategies to alleviate Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) risks associated with both new and existing systems in ship construction and service.

Work Schedule and Expectations:

  • This role follows a standard 8-hour work schedule from Monday to Friday.

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional travel may be necessary.

Qualifications:

Security Clearance: An active Top Secret/SCI clearance is preferred; a minimum of Secret clearance is required for initial consideration.

Educational Background:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • Alternatively, 6 years or more of relevant DoD Service experience as an E-4 or above in a related technical role may substitute for a bachelor's degree.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 4 years of general experience in Engineering & Science, Research, Development, Test & Evaluation, or Science & Technology.
  • Experience with Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) or integration related to shipboard systems or electronic warfare systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas:
    • EMI/EMC analysis and evaluation;
    • E3 instructions, standards, policies, and procedures;
    • Defense Acquisition Engineering;
    • E3/EMI/EMC Testing;
    • Investigation of EMI issues;
    • Spectrum, EMC, or RADHAZ Certification;
    • EMI Program Management Support (PMS);
    • US Navy Optimized Fleet Response Plan (O-FRP);
    • EMI Control and Mitigation strategies;
    • EMI Control Measure Drawings;
    • Technical Assistance for SEMCIP.
