Senior Radiation Oncology Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Radiation Oncology Therapist to join our team at Penn Medicine. With an estimated salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, this role offers a competitive compensation package, including comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
Job SummaryThe Senior Radiation Oncology Therapist will work closely with our treatment team to deliver accurate and safe radiation treatments. Key responsibilities include patient care and education, procedure preparation and execution, machine and equipment operations, and problem-solving. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for mentoring and guiding junior therapists in their daily tasks and responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Explain radiation procedures to patients and reinforce physician directives
- Verify patient information and transfer patients safely to treatment couch
- Provide emotional support and general information to patients
- Prepare room and equipment for patient treatment
- Ensure proper execution of procedures and maintain accurate records
- Operate machinery correctly and follow safety rules
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and physicians
You will also have opportunities to originate ideas, work independently, and positively impact goal achievement. To succeed in this role, you must be proficient in many departmental functions, maintain confidentiality, and prioritize tasks effectively.
