About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Big Data Solutions Architect to join our Technology team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in challenging the status quo and reimagining capabilities across industries. Your expertise will be instrumental in deploying enterprise-ready, secure, and compliant data-oriented solutions leveraging Data Warehouse, Big Data, and Machine Learning frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data engineering and machine learning pipelines to optimize data processing and analysis
  • Review architectural designs to ensure consistency and alignment with defined target architecture and adherence to established architecture standards
  • Support data and cloud transformation initiatives, driving innovation and growth across the organization
  • Contribute to our cloud strategy, leveraging your expertise in AWS cloud transformation projects
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies in the rapidly evolving marketplace, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to deliver point and strategic solutions, driving business outcomes and growth
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics
  • 12+ years of experience working as a Data Warehouse/Big Data Architect, with a strong background in AWS cloud transformation projects
  • Experience in the Telecommunication domain is preferred, but not required
Skills and Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of AWS services, including EMR, Glue, S3, Athena, DynamoDB, IAM, Lambda, Cloudwatch, and Data Pipeline
  • Expertise in Apache Spark processing framework, with proficiency in Scala, Python, and Java programming languages
  • Strong understanding of logical and physical table design in Big Data environments, with experience in processing frameworks such as MapReduce and HDFS
  • Advanced SQL experience, including SQL performance tuning and optimization
  • Knowledge of Big Data frameworks, including Hive, Impala, and AWS Athena
  • Experience with resource management frameworks, such as Yarn, Mesos, or standalone Spark
  • Knowledge of various data platforms, including Redshift, S3, Teradata, Hbase, MySQL/Postgres, and MongoDB
