Job Summary

Medline Industries, LP is seeking a skilled Assembly Line Technician to perform repetitive line assembly operations to mass-produce component trays with surgical/medical products. The successful candidate will be responsible for sealing breather pouches on final packs using a Doboy machine and verifying the integrity of the seal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Seal breather pouches on final packs using a Doboy machine and verify the integrity of the seal.
  • Set the scale by using three packs from the line for each lot ran to obtain the average weight of packs and weigh each pack before sealing.
  • Verify that the correct inserts, carton labels, and pouches are being used for each lot ran, and assist the Line Clearance Coordinator in maintaining proper line clearance.
  • Check for holes in table covers and pouches, and communicate with packers on line downtime or new jobs.
  • Fill out requisition forms for shortages or scrap components when a job goes down, and fill out scrap reports when components are scrapped on the production line for each lot ran.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Requirements:
  • Previous production or manufacturing experience is required.
  • The ability to read and communicate in English is essential.
  • Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction, are necessary.
  • The ability to work well with others to achieve team objectives is crucial.
  • The successful candidate must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time, up to 8 hours per day.
  • A high sense of urgency is required.
  • The ability to stand for 8 hours per day for up to 6 days a week is necessary.
  • Repetitive hand movement is required to place components in trays and wrap the tray.
  • The ability to lift totes of components, with weights varying from 5 pounds to 25 pounds or more, is essential.
  • Work is performed standing up.
  • The successful candidate must be able to work in a closed-sterile environment and follow procedures for the clean room, including attire and personal hygiene.
