Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor/Writer to join our team at Cerritos Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram Viper. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that all automotive services and repairs are completed efficiently and effectively.

Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year based on experience.

Responsibilities:
* Initiate automotive services and repairs by ascertaining performance problems and services requested; verifying warranty and service contract coverage; developing estimates; writing repair orders; maintaining customer rapport and records.
* Ascertaining automotive problems and services by listening to customers' descriptions of symptoms; clarifying descriptions of problems; conducting inspections; taking test drives; checking vehicle maintenance records; examining service schedules.
* Verifying warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions.
* Developing estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customers' payments, including deductibles.
* Preparing repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into service database systems.
* Maintaining customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicles; obtaining customers' approvals of estimates; obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers; answering questions and concerns; arranging towing and temporary transportation.
* Maintaining automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned.
* Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' publications.

Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 years' experience as a service advisor.
* Lifting, problem-solving, reporting research results, quality focus, productivity, estimating, product knowledge, customer service, problem-solving, safety management.
* Coachable, ability to work in a team environment, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, knowledgeable about BAR compliance, experienced with ADP/CDK a plus, bilingual Spanish.
