Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Custodian to provide preventive cleaning services for a Federal Agency in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas of the facility.
- Perform cleaning duties such as dusting lights, furniture, and other horizontal surfaces, dry mopping hard floor surfaces, vacuuming carpets, emptying and cleaning trash containers and ashtrays, spot cleaning walls and windows, and using the high-speed buffer to burnish hard floor surfaces.
- Clean and maintain assigned equipment.
Requirements:
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to decipher/comprehend signs indicating danger.
- Skilled in the knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment such as a scrubber and extractor.
- Ability to obtain security clearance to work at assigned work site.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous custodial experience.
- Graduate of GGWs NISH custodial training program.
