Position Overview

The selected candidate will take on the role of a MACHINIST within the PRODUCTION TRADES DIVISION, specifically in the INDUSTRIAL EXECUTION DEPARTMENT at NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and execute machining tasks utilizing both conventional and CNC machinery.
  • Fabricate, repair, and refurbish components and equipment from various metals and alloys, employing precision handwork to achieve machinist objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to dimensions, tolerances, fits, and finishes by utilizing precision measurement tools.
  • Operate a variety of conventional and numerically-controlled machines, contributing to the manufacturing, reworking, and repairing of aircraft components and related support tasks.
  • Maintain accuracy in accordance with specifications outlined in blueprints, drawings, sketches, technical documents, manuals, and directives from the Machinist Supervisor.

Salary Range: $38.36 - $44.76
