Swiss Machinist

Metal Craft | Riverside is seeking a skilled Swiss Machinist to join our team in the precision manufacturing department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of CNC machines, Swiss machines, and manual turning machines to perform a series of machining operations.

• Read and understand blueprint specifications, job routings, set up sheets, and charts for dimensions, tolerances, and tooling instructions.
• Load and set tools while understanding run out, tool length stick outs, and proper holder based on the tool's function.
• Work with engineering to develop new processes for production and recognize, understand, and properly adjust or replace dull or chipped tooling.
• Able to set and adjust work offsets, tool wear lengths, and cutter compensation.
• Adjust work shift offsets of tools at each station and perform Quality Control Characteristics documentation of tolerance zones specified on blueprints.
• Able to straighten parts per work instructions or set up sheets.

• Associates Degree in machining or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of CNC machinist experience with emphasis on setup and operation.
