The School of Physical Therapy at Inside Higher Ed is seeking a highly qualified faculty member to deliver exceptional learning experiences and education for students in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program.
The ideal candidate will engage in teaching, research, and service activities, working collaboratively with colleagues across the University to contribute to a progressive culture of student empowerment and growth.
Responsibilities include:
- Utilizing innovative pedagogical strategies to effectively educate Doctor of Physical Therapy students and future healthcare professionals
- Assessing student learning with progressive formative and summative assessments
- Integrating diversity, equity, and inclusion into the curriculum and co-curricular experiences
- Establishing and maintaining a line of scholarship that results in conference presentations, publishable manuscripts, or other outcomes consistent with expectations for scholarly activities
- Delivering didactic, laboratory, and/or experiential instruction in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program, among other duties
Requirements:
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist
- PhD, EdD, DSc preferred, DPT will be considered
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in physical therapy
- Record of scholarly activities commensurate with an academic appointment
- Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
