Job Requirements for Certified Nursing Assistants:

To excel in this role, candidates must be able to fulfill each essential duty effectively. The qualifications listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

  • Completion of a state-approved CNA training program and maintenance of good standing.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license or reliable means of transportation.
  • Preferred: One (1) year of experience as a nursing assistant in a skilled rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or Long-Term Care (LTC) setting.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with electronic medical records.

Certifications and Licenses:

Current registration as a Nursing Aide on the Texas Nurse Aide Registry.
