Dock Load Specialist

Responsibilities:
As a Dock Load Specialist, you will be responsible for adhering to Terex safety policies and procedures. You will also follow and promote The Terex Way Values, which include safety, integrity, respect, and servant leadership.
Some of your key responsibilities will include moving, stocking, receiving, and packing outbound warehouse merchandise. You will also operate warehouse equipment as needed to complete tasks, read and interpret blueprints and order acknowledgments, and properly crate and protect materials using hand and power tools.
You will work with Replacement Part orders, shipping instructions, and regulations, and understand types of fixtures to use for picking and moving each type of product. You will also understand DOT rules and regulations for the transport of all types of loads on highways.
Basic Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need a high school diploma or equivalent. You will also need 0-2 years of manufacturing experience and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs with assistance or lifting equipment provided.
Preferred Qualification:
It would be beneficial to have the ability to read and interpret blueprints and order acknowledgments, as well as basic computer skills. You will also need to be certified to drive a forklift or have the skills to obtain certification and perform maintenance checks each use.
Additional responsibilities include preparing bills of lading and shipping reports, checking off shipments, and observing truck loading operations, bracing, and securing of loads to ensure safe arrival. You will also interpret order acknowledgments as to ship loose bill of material and understand the procedure for chaining and securing units to the trailer for safe and damage-free transport to the end customer.
