Paradigm Precision, a leading manufacturer of complex fabrication and precision machined components, is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer and Machinist to join our team. As a CNC Programmer and Machinist, you will be responsible for creating and developing CNC programs using engineering models, drawings, and specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Programming and Development: Create and develop CNC programs using engineering models, drawings, and specifications to provide manufacturing with safe, accurate, and efficient CNC programs complete with tools, fixturing, and set-up requirements.
- Analysis and Design: Analyze drawings, sketches, and design data of the parts to determine the dimension and configuration of the cuts, and select the appropriate tools and machine speeds and feed rates according to the machine shop processes, part specifications, and machine capabilities.
- Documentation and Quality Control: Write instruction sheets and cutter lists to guide set-up and operation of the machine, document all set-up information, and ensure quality control standards are maintained.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with all manufacturing and quality functions, work with customers and suppliers to resolve process and design issues, and participate in process development, including creation of detailed router instructions, operation sheets, tool selection, and fixture and tooling design.
- Education and Experience: 2 years relevant experience and a strong understanding of machine probing, RFID tool identifications, selection of Tool types for different material and applications, experience with Speed and feed selection for different tool types, and a strong GD & T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) understanding.
- Skills and Qualifications: Thorough understanding of quality control procedures, sound project management skills, familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, ability to interpret complex blueprints, thorough knowledge of G-code programming, effective written and verbal communications, and ability to read, write, and speak in standard English.
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, electrical equipment, acetone, alcohol, argon, braze alloys, nitrogen, hydrogen, oil-based lubricants, and cleaning solutions.
- Occasional exposure to moderate cold and extreme heat.
