Position Summary:

Archivist Assistant

This role supports the acquisition and processing of government and non-government records in the State Archives Division. Collaborating with the Acquisitions Archivist and Public Records staff, the Archivist Assistant ensures the acquisition and management of records adhere to established policies and procedures. The position involves processing and quality control of collections, including analog, born-digital, and web-only materials, according to accepted standards and best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the acquisition and accessioning of records.
  • Process and quality control of collections.
  • Support patrons in the Research Room.
  • Work occasional Saturdays.
