POSITION SUMMARY

As a vital member of our team, you will engage with both prospective and existing clients to facilitate applications for residential mortgage financing. Your role will involve strategic marketing initiatives aimed at expanding our client network and enhancing business growth. You will collaborate closely with our operations team to ensure the efficient processing and closing of mortgage transactions, while remaining well-informed on current mortgage regulations and maintaining your professional licensing in good standing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Conduct meetings with clients to gather applications for both purchase and refinancing mortgage options.
  2. Implement marketing strategies to broaden the client and referral base.
  3. Obtain credit reports for clients, organize documentation, and prepare files for processing; pre-qualify borrowers and provide pricing estimates in accordance with established guidelines.
  4. Coordinate with processing staff to ensure seamless transaction closings.
  5. Maintain communication with real estate agents and clients regarding any additional requirements and updates on loan status.
  6. Secure loan locks with the Secondary Marketing Department.
  7. Regularly meet with processing teams to review loan pipelines.
  8. Fulfill continuing education obligations as mandated by state regulations and the NMLS.
  9. Participate in training sessions as required by Axia.
  10. Stay updated on changes and guidelines related to FHA, VA, USDA, and Conventional loans as communicated by underwriting or operational channels.
  11. Foster a collaborative team environment.
  12. Deliver exceptional customer service at all times.
  13. Engage with other departments as necessary to support organizational growth and efficiency.
  14. Perform additional duties as assigned.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

  2. Achieve an average of 4 loan closings per month.
  3. Ensure that over 95% of closed loans are correspondent loans.
  4. Maintain that over 75% of closed loans are for purchase transactions.
  5. Dedicate significant time to meeting with clients, prospects, realtors, financial advisors, and other referral sources to cultivate future business opportunities.
  6. Keep all licenses active and in good standing, including timely annual renewals.
  7. Communicate any challenges or opportunities to management.
  8. Demonstrate flexibility, multitasking abilities, and effective prioritization in a dynamic work environment while maintaining focus and accuracy.
  9. Utilize strong verbal and written communication skills.
  10. Stay informed on industry standards and adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements.
  11. Apply strong analytical skills along with sound judgment in decision-making processes.
  12. Exhibit professionalism in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
  13. Maintain confidentiality regarding customer, company, and employee information.
  14. Uphold strong customer service principles and ensure responsiveness to all inquiries.
QUALIFICATIONS
  1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in mortgage lending or sales is preferred.
  2. Possess the necessary licensing to originate loans for the organization, maintaining active status.
  3. Demonstrated history of closing an average of 4 loans per month over the past year.
  4. Proven record of 95% or more of closed loans being correspondent loans.
  5. Track record of 75% or more of closed loans being purchase transactions.
  6. Ability to adapt, multitask, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy.
  7. Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
  8. Possess analytical skills combined with sound judgment in decision-making.
  9. Commitment to high standards of customer service and responsiveness.
  10. Proficient in computer applications and technology.
