Position Overview

As a Commercial Loan Officer I, you will be responsible for promoting, marketing, and facilitating the sale of our banking products. Your efforts will contribute to the growth of the bank by effectively engaging with both new and existing clients, with a strong emphasis on delivering outstanding customer service.

Reporting Structure

This role reports directly to the Senior Vice President - Senior Lending Officer and indirectly to the Senior Vice President - Senior Credit Officer.

Job Classification

This position is classified as Exempt under the Outside Sales Exemption of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and service a loan portfolio valued between $70MM and $100MM, ensuring proper risk assessment and addressing any potential issues.
  • Prepare renewals as necessary by monitoring loan maturity reports.
  • Follow up on past-due loans and communicate with clients regarding payments.
  • Collect updated financial information from clients through proactive outreach.
  • Process and approve requests for loan modifications and collateral substitutions.
  • Conduct thorough loan monitoring, including reviewing financial documentation and customer information.
  • Engage in personal marketing and networking to secure and service a diverse range of commercial loans.
  • Approve loans in accordance with established lending policies and present higher-value requests to loan committees.
  • Gather all necessary documentation and perform credit and underwriting analysis to prepare comprehensive loan requests.
  • Maximize profitability through strategic pricing of loan originations and cross-selling of bank products.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of loan agreements in line with bank policies.
  • Participate in community events to promote PointBank and establish connections with potential clients.
  • Maintain a professional appearance of the branch and report any facility needs to management.
  • Attend required meetings and training sessions to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Adhere to all applicable federal and state regulations, including BSA/AML/OFAC policies.
  • Contribute suggestions for improving branch operations and overall bank performance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Physical and Mental Demands

This position may require light physical work, including lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally. The role involves frequent sitting, standing, and the use of standard office equipment.
