Commonwise Home Care is on the lookout for a dedicated team of part-time and full-time Professional Caregivers to collaborate with our Independent Living Nurse Advocate. The team of Caregiver Community Representatives will share in-home care responsibilities within this vibrant independent living environment.

Available Opportunities

Full-Time Positions:

Monday to Friday 7 AM - 4 PM; weekend requirements are negotiable.

Part-Time Positions:

Monday to Friday 4 PM - 10 PM.

Weekend Shifts: Premium pay and partial benefits based on commitment:

Saturday and Sunday: 7 AM - Noon; 5 PM - 10 PM.

Key Responsibilities

Personal Care in Private Residences:

  • Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, and feeding.
  • Supporting Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs): light housekeeping, meal preparation, transportation, and engaging clients in creative hobbies.
  • Building lasting relationships with community residents and their families.
  • Providing dependable support to families during their times of need.
  • Acting as an advocate for community residents.
Community Engagement
  • Representing Commonwise and its mission: Truly Care for People.
  • Fostering relationships within the community.
  • Collaborating closely as a team to ensure the well-being of aging adults.

Physical Demands

Caregiving involves frequent bending and may include driving. Candidates must possess strong communicative, auditory, and visual skills; attention to detail; and the ability to lift, push, or pull 20 - 50 lbs.

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Experience in the aging care sector.
  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA), Personal Care Assistant (PCA), or similar qualifications.
  • Comfortable around animals (dogs and cats).
