Job Description

Preston House is seeking a Certified Medication Technician to deliver high-quality medication administration and resident care oversight in a cutting-edge Memory Care Community.

We are committed to providing exceptional care to our residents and are looking for a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver medication administration with precision and accuracy.
  • Promote a positive and respectful working relationship with residents, family members, and staff.
  • Attend in-service and education programs to maintain continuing education requirements.
  • Remain calm under stressful conditions and maintain confidentiality of residents' information.
  • Maintain professional appearance and adhere to community dress code.
  • Document resident care in an informative and descriptive manner.
  • Report any changes in a resident's condition to the supervisor as soon as possible.
  • Complete work schedules and assigned tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Operate equipment safely and only utilize equipment previously trained on.
  • Utilize infection control precautions and practices with all activities.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of fire and emergency procedures and report any safety violations.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have passed NC Medication Aide testing for Adult Care Homes.
  • Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Certification required.
  • Ability to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting.
  • Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for seniors without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others.
  • Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment.
