Catalent is a global pharmaceutical company that develops and manufactures new treatments for patients worldwide. We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician, Analytical Research & Development to join our team in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily balance weigh checks and ensure balance work areas are neat, clean, and clear.
  • Standardize lab pH meters daily and ensure regents and supplies are available for analysts.
  • Under the direction of a supervisor, perform daily equipment equilibration and ensure general use equipment areas are neat, clean, and clear.
  • Support AR&D in lab operation tasks such as chemical inventory management, qualitative standards inventory, consumable supplies area, waste disposal, safety initiatives, and other services as necessary.
  • Collaborate with Quality Control for shared laboratory operation services.
  • Prepare lab reagents, test solutions, buffers, mobile phase, and other solutions necessary for evaluation and testing of samples.
  • Perform testing of samples and products, complete documentation as time of experiment, and report results in a timely fashion.
  • Embrace the continuous improvement attitude and contribute to laboratory operational excellence.
  • Build and maintain communication and collaboration with various departments such as product development, quality control, metrology, quality assurance, and others as necessary.
  • Comply with Catalent, FDA, EPA, and OSHA regulations, performing all work in a safe manner.
  • Maintain proper records in accordance with all SOPs and policies.

Requirements

  • Requires a minimum of a high school diploma. Prefer an Associate's College Degree in science or technology related to the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years' experience in a chemical, medical, or pharmaceutical setting.
  • Must have previous exposure to cGMPs or cGLPs.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Vision requirements include the ability to differentiate color and obtain 20/30 acuity in both far and near vision in each eye with or without corrective lenses.
  • Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly, and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds.
