Position Summary

LOCAL CANDIDATES TO IOWA AND NEBRASKA - The Telecom Construction Manager oversees the construction schedule, budget, and quality assurance for projects. This role involves managing resources engaged in construction activities, including direct reports, matrix staff, and vendor and subcontractor teams.

  • Enforce and uphold the safety program, ensuring daily job site safety plans are reviewed and adhered to, and halt work when unsafe practices or conditions are identified.
  • Conduct on-site evaluations of ongoing construction projects, consulting with senior construction managers or project managers for guidance on plan modifications.
  • Possess a solid understanding and experience in Construction and Material/BOM Management, collaborating with various departments.
  • Engage with the client's engineering team while leveraging the company's engineering and management teams for decision-making.
  • Responsible for scheduling, tracking, measuring, and reporting progress to key stakeholders on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Implement the quality program for all work, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.

Here's what you'll need:

  • A minimum of five years of construction management experience is required.
  • Experience in wireless construction is essential.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is necessary.
  • Availability for day, night, and weekend work to support project completion is required.
  • An engineering or technical degree is preferred.
  • Active OSHA-30 Certification or higher is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel is essential.

Essential Functions: This role involves intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Hand manipulation is required for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation. The ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds is necessary. Candidates must be alert to equipment in the field, as travel is required, and work will occur near construction job site equipment. There may be occasional exposure to hazardous equipment and machinery, as well as uneven ground, dust, gas, fumes, noise, and extreme temperatures or humidity.
