Job Title: Construction Superintendent

William Charles Construction, a MasTec Company, is seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent to join their team in Springfield, IL. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Attend pre-job meetings and review project scopes with the Project Manager and Area Manager
  • Set up job sites, review union contracts, and ensure all necessary permits are in place
  • Coordinate with IDOT, inspectors, subcontractors, and owners to ensure smooth project execution
  • Supervise on-site employees, manage local union relationships, and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company policies
  • Generate a two-week look-ahead schedule, verify utility locates, and maintain equipment checklists
  • Guarantee maximum equipment utilization, oversee subcontractor work, and ensure all required materials and equipment are on site
  • Perform other work-related duties as required
Qualifications:
  • Minimum GED or High School Diploma
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Bridge Superintendent or related field
