Job Overview

ICP Group, a prominent manufacturer of specialized coatings, adhesives, and sealants, is seeking a Production Supervisor for our asphalt manufacturing facility. This role is essential in overseeing production operations, ensuring adherence to quality standards and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage raw material inventory to ensure adequate stock levels for production.
  • Promote a culture of safety by adhering to established Safety and Health guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory safety and environmental standards, providing training to staff as necessary.
  • Train and mentor production personnel on safe operational practices.
  • Monitor production quality, conducting necessary tests and addressing any non-compliance immediately.
  • Assist in scheduling production and optimizing staff workload for maximum efficiency.
  • Support operators in implementing Autonomous Maintenance to reduce downtime.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts for raw materials and finished products through effective production controls.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational projects by providing insights and resources.
  • Collaborate with management to set performance goals and conduct follow-up coaching sessions.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization in production areas, fostering a supportive culture.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to meet operational targets.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring compliance and regular updates.
  • Provide management with weekly reports on plant objectives and achievements.
  • Coordinate with the Production Manager and laboratory for product development trials.
  • Establish cost-saving objectives and monitor progress.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and ERP systems.
  • Experience in batch operations, particularly in a chemical manufacturing context.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations relevant to manufacturing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations for material validation and inventory management.
  • Effective communication skills with a proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Strong organizational skills to delegate tasks effectively and meet production schedules.
  • Comfortable in a diverse work environment where English may not be the primary language.
  • Willingness to work in a plant setting with varying temperatures and physical demands.
  • Availability for overtime as required.
