Position Summary:

At Vail Resorts, exceptional service is the cornerstone of our mission, and our Snowmakers play a vital role in delivering this experience. Tasked with the production of artificial snow, Snowmakers are innovative and technically skilled individuals who lay the foundation for an extraordinary snow season.

Position Specifications:

  • Housing: Potentially Available
  • Expected Compensation: $24.38 / hour
  • Work Schedule: Full Time
  • Experience Level: Advanced
  • Additional Details: Snowmakers operate at high altitudes in diverse terrains and various weather conditions. Candidates must be capable of navigating mountain environments using different modes of transportation, including hiking, skiing, snowboarding, and other vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate all transportation equipment following standard procedures
  • Conduct and instruct proper snowmaking quality assessments
  • Support the snowmaking lead with daily operations
  • Understand and manage snowmaking pumps, compressors, and both manual and automated snowmaking equipment
  • Maintain snowmaking machinery and facilities as instructed
  • Complete assigned tasks independently
  • Perform other duties as required

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Prior experience with heavy machinery operation; snowmaking experience preferred
  • Proficient communication skills in English
  • Ability to work outdoors in alpine conditions
  • Flexible schedule availability, including nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

The anticipated pay range is $24.38. This reflects the compensation we expect for this role, with individual salary decisions based on various factors.
