Role Responsibilities:
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will collaborate within a multidisciplinary care team in the Hematology Oncology Division. The APP is tasked with delivering comprehensive care to patients from initial diagnosis through survivorship. This role requires a high level of clinical expertise in managing patients across various stages of cancer treatment.
The APP will be responsible for:
- Conducting assessments and making diagnoses
- Formulating treatment plans and managing patient care
- Providing education and consultation to patients and families
- Coordinating health promotion and care
This position demands advanced medical and nursing knowledge, effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across disciplines. The APP will operate independently within their scope of practice as defined by relevant state laws and institutional policies.
Qualifications:
Education: Master's Degree in Nursing
Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience is required; 6-10 years is preferred.
Licensure/Certifications:
- CPR - Basic Life Support certification
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Illinois
- Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Illinois
