Job Overview

McCormick & Company, Incorporated is seeking a skilled Sanitation Specialist to join its team at its facility in Gretna, Louisiana. As a key member of the production team, this individual will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep of the facility and production equipment, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and adhering to quality control standards.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble and clean auxiliary line equipment
  • Operate floor scrubbers and scissor lifts to perform overhead cleaning
  • Detailed cleaning of facility, including sweeping, washing floors, and dusting
  • Complete master sanitation scheduled tasks and maintain documentation
  • Maintain tools and supplies for operations
  • Daily trash removal, including pallets, drums, and product waste
  • Perform environmental monitoring swabbing activities
  • Clean equipment parts

Requirements

  • Ability to operate technology and software programs that track work completion
  • Ability to operate a forklift, scissor lift, and floor scrubber
  • Ability to sustain physical work and lift 50 pounds
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow through on assigned tasks with minimal supervision
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in food manufacturing
  • Experience operating boom lifts
