Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Baker to contribute to our renowned European-style bakery. This role involves crafting high-quality, hand-made pastries and breads in a collaborative and professional setting that emphasizes quality and authenticity.

About Us:
For over 27 years, we have been a staple in the North Shore area, offering exquisite pastries and desserts. Our establishment not only serves retail customers but also partners with various prestigious venues, including country clubs and hotels, to provide wholesale baked goods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare a diverse range of artisanal breads and laminated pastries, including the filling and shaping of danishes.
  • Craft buttercreams and genoise for our pastry offerings.
  • Assist in the creation of Swiss pastry specialties under guidance.
  • Organize and set up for the next day's production efficiently.
  • Maintain a well-stocked inventory of essential ingredients and prepped items, including doughs and mixes.
Required Skills:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in baking or a related field is preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of sanitation standards; ServSafe certification is a plus.
  • A background in Culinary Arts is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently while being a supportive team member.
  • Flexibility to accommodate last-minute requests with a positive attitude.
Work Schedule:
Our bakery operates from Tuesday to Saturday, with early morning shifts. We observe closures on major holidays but may require additional hours during peak seasons.

Compensation:
Salary is commensurate with experience.
