Fund Accounting Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Fund Accounting Manager to join our team at Consultative Search Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the financial records of our open-end funds and separate accounts, as well as reporting to clients and the portfolio group.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the monthly closing process for the portfolios, including reconciling portfolio data and calculating management fees and the accrual of expenses.
- Review and analyze the reconciliations and other work performed by offshore service providers.
- Review quarterly and annual financial statements prepared in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Ensure compliance with key financial reporting controls and document evidentiary matter to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
- Coordinate the interim and annual financial statement audit fieldwork with external auditors.
- Review calculations of fund and client-specific performance.
- Assist in the preparation of ad-hoc requests from client services and the investment team.
- Oversee fund-related efficiency and automation projects.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting or audit experience within Big Four public accounting or a mix of public accounting and investment management industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of reconciliation and account analysis.
- Excellent understanding of accounting and the ability to apply relevant investment company accounting rules.
- Solid analytical skills and ability to understand and resolve complex problems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Geneva and/or Geneva World Investor accounting systems is a plus.
- Experience with PowerBI, Alteryx, or other data analytical tools is a plus.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and excellent work ethic.
- Great organizational skills and ability to prioritize and handle complicated work efficiently and effectively.
- Takes initiative to ask questions and detect problems.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively both individually and as a team.
- Ability to understand and resolve complex problems.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA a plus.
