Job Summary:

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN with LifePoint Health, you will play a critical role in preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals to patients, as well as performing diagnostic studies per physician orders. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the technical quality and calibration of instrumentation, as well as processing images for radiologist review. Key Responsibilities:

Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals and medications to patients

Performs diagnostic studies per physician orders

Evaluates images to determine technical quality and calibration of instrumentation

Processes images for radiologist review

Follows radiation safety procedures

Requirements:

Minimum Education Certificate, Associates or Bachelor's degree in health-related field required by certifying body

Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision

BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) required within 90 days of employment

ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) required within 6 months of employment

Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (NM) or certification with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) required
