Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at LifePoint Health. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, as well as performing diagnostic studies per physician orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging and therapeutic procedures.
- Process data and enhance digital images using advanced computer technology.
- Provide images, data analysis, and patient information for diagnostic interpretation or therapeutic procedures.
- Evaluate images to determine the technical quality and calibration of instrumentation.
- Process images for radiologist review.
- Follow radiation safety procedures.
- Communicate patient information relative to procedure purpose, description, and duration prior to beginning examination.
Requirements:
- Minimum Education Certificate, Associates, or Bachelor's degree in a health-related field required by the certifying body.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) required within 90 days of employment.
- ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) required within 6 months of employment.
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (NM) or certified with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
Work Environment:
This position is located in Tennessee-Gallatin and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
