Co-op Mechanical Engineering Opportunity

Schaeffler is a dynamic global technology company seeking a talented Co-op Mechanical Engineer to join our team for the Summer 2025 term. As a Co-op Mechanical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in mechanical engineering, working on real-world projects and collaborating with our experienced professionals.

About the Role

As a Co-op Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting design efforts, conducting mechanical testing, and analyzing data to drive innovation. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to effectively complete assigned tasks and contribute to the development of our cutting-edge products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support design tasks, including calculation, simulation, CAD modeling, analysis, and component sizing
  • Conduct component or system level mechanical testing
  • Perform component teardown analysis, including physical teardown, inspection pictures, and documentation
  • Interface with cross-functional teams to effectively complete assigned tasks
Requirements
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher per semester
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication ability (written & verbal)
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve results
  • Assertive approach to solving problems
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
