We are seeking to fill the position of Events Kitchen Assistant. This role involves the preparation and finishing of both hot and cold dishes, adhering to our event recipes and quality standards.

Typical events include:

  • Cocktail receptions and seated dinners
  • Breakfast and lunch buffets
  • Private dining experiences in clients' residences
  • Weddings and large-scale gatherings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate experience across various kitchen stations
  • Ensure food portions and presentation align with our standards
  • Exhibit excellent knife skills and comprehensive cooking proficiency
  • Assist the Culinary Management team with assigned food preparation tasks
  • Possess a solid understanding of food preparation for standard menu items
  • Keep the work area, including floors and passageways, clean
  • Clean kitchen equipment as directed by the Culinary Management team
  • Help maintain cleanliness and organization in all food storage areas, including refrigerators and freezers
  • Assist with the unloading of deliveries

Ideal candidates will have:

  • A strong professional work ethic
  • 2-3 years of relevant cooking experience
  • The ability to prepare and execute essential components of dishes while ensuring quality and precision
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to follow directions from supervisors
  • Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and evenings as needed
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication abilities
  • The capacity to work independently and proactively address challenges
  • A collaborative spirit to support fellow kitchen staff
