Job SummaryThis Claims Leadership Specialist position involves mentoring and directing a team of Casualty and Litigation Associates. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall file quality, including thorough investigations, damage evaluations, and litigation proceedings. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities- Guide and manage the performance and professional development of team members through coaching and mentoring.
- Evaluate and ensure compliance with Home Office claim directives.
- Perform regular file reviews and audits to maintain high-quality standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve positive Department financial results.
- Collaborate with senior management to design and deliver training programs.
- Identify potential risks and provide recommendations for mitigation.
- Maintain relationships with vendors to ensure quality work product and expenses align with company guidelines.
- Stay current with case and statutory law, as well as the litigation/regulatory environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- In-depth knowledge of coverage and contract law, investigation, legal liability, litigation, and reserving.
- Familiarity with analytics and KPIs to analyze claims performance.
- Minimal travel required.
- A minimum of 5 years of non-standard personal lines claim experience, with a focus on casualty claims and litigation.
- 3+ years of leadership, supervision, and training experience.
- Bachelor's degree.
Estimated salary range: $85,000 - $110,000 per year.
