POSITION OVERVIEW:

Objective:

Are you ready to be part of a dynamic team that fosters your professional growth? Our organization is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Heavy Equipment Technician to join our workforce. The Technician will be accountable for the effective maintenance and repair of all company machinery and vehicles, ensuring the safe handling of all assigned equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform maintenance and repairs on various automotive vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and heavy machinery, adhering to company standards; identify failure indicators, troubleshoot, inspect, repair or replace components, reassemble, and conduct tests.
  2. Collaborate with the Supervisor to guarantee the availability of necessary parts and supplies.
  3. Anticipate potential issues and execute or arrange for required repairs. Work in conjunction with the Supervisor and fellow technicians to complete tasks efficiently.
  4. Accurately complete all necessary documentation.
  5. Oversee the work of the Technician's Assistant, ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  6. Operate vehicles and machinery safely at all times, utilizing required safety gear. Adhere to all safety protocols and promptly report any safety concerns to the Supervisor.
  7. Conduct all mandated inspections.
  8. Comply with environmental regulations, disposing of waste materials in designated areas and recycling as necessary. Report any environmental concerns to the Supervisor immediately.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools, vehicles, and equipment are in good condition. Clean the work area at the end of each shift and secure all company property.
  10. Drive company vehicles to various locations for service calls or to transport equipment.
  11. Operate malfunctioning and repaired equipment as needed.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

  • Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of diesel engines.

Certifications Needed:

  • Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
  • DOT certification.
  • ASE certifications preferred.
  • Specialized training in Mack or similar systems preferred.
