Job Summary:
The Environmental Health and Safety Specialist will be responsible for managing the day-to-day EHS operations and will assist with upholding existing programs as well as looking to improve in other areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily EHS operations across multiple facilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Develop and implement effective safety training programs to educate employees on EHS best practices.
- Participate in regular audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive emergency preparedness, including drill planning and coordination with local agencies.
- Ensure compliance with permit requirements through effective procedures and monitoring.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental, health, or safety fields preferred.
- Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in EHS.
- Proven experience in areas such as emergency preparedness, site security, and EHSS standards.
- Able to obtain an Industrial Class K Wastewater License and Certified Landfill Operator license.
