This role is responsible for coordinating materials and machining processes to meet customer delivery expectations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and experience in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and optimize machinery schedules to ensure seamless processing and maximize efficiency.
  • Evaluate material availability to support responsible machine schedules.
  • Maintain WIP adjustments and shop order due dates as requirements change.
  • Organize and distribute job travelers to responsible areas.
  • Coordinate with the purchasing department to resolve material delivery issues.
  • Communicate disruptions in scheduling or manufacturing processes to facilitate efficient material flow.
  • Facilitate completion and partial closure of manufacturing job travelers.
  • Coordinate and respond to expedited requests to fulfill scheduling requirements.
  • Operate Tow Motor daily and maintain general material flows.
  • Maintain compliance with company policy, safety, and good housekeeping practices.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • (5) yrs. of experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Strong verbal communication and people skills.
  • Effective written communication skills.
  • Advanced computer skills preferred.
  • Basic computer skills including Google Sheets/Excel required.
  • Basic print reading skills required.
  • Proficient in ERP functions.
  • Extensive knowledge in scheduling and scheduling modifications.
  • Familiarity with different types of steel and various materials.
  • Understanding of machining process and flow.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must be an ambitious self-starter, capable of working in a fast-paced customer-focused environment.
