Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate PRN Registered Nurse to join our team at About Kids Home Care LLC. As a PRN Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our patients in the comfort of their own homes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive health and psychosocial evaluations to assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Coordinate total consumer care by monitoring patient conditions, promoting preventive practices, and coordinating services and teaching activities.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing services and make recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare and present patient records to the Clinical Record Review Committee as needed.
- Consult with attending physicians to alter care plans and make changes as appropriate.
- Coordinate consumer services and ensure continuity of care.
- Submit clinical notes and progress reports as required.
- Participate in case conferences and discuss problems with supervisors.
- Discuss the need for involvement of other health team members with supervisors.
- Obtain orders for paraprofessional services and submit referrals as needed.
- Participate in staff development meetings and educational experiences for student nurses.
- Continuously strive to improve nursing care skills through in-service education, formal education, and individual research.
- Participate in the planning, operation, and evaluation of the nursing service.
- Participate in the development and periodic revision of the physician's Plan of Treatment.
- Maintain an ongoing knowledge of current drug therapy.
Requirements
Job Conditions
- Must have a driver's license and be willing and able to drive to patient residences.
- The ability to access patients' homes, which may not be routinely wheelchair accessible, is required.
- Hearing, eyesight, and physical dexterity must be sufficient to perform physical assessments and provide care.
- Physical activities will include walking, sitting, stooping, and standing, with minimal to maximum lifting of patients and turning of patients.
- The ability to communicate verbally and in writing is required, as frequent communication by telephone and in writing is involved.
