Behavioral Health Support Specialist

Job Summary:
The Richmond Behavioral Health Authority is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Technician Aide to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing support services to clients with behavioral health disorders and/or intellectual disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assist clients with activities of daily living, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Conduct facility inspections and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Provide customer service duties, including greeting clients, admitting them to the unit, and conducting tours and orientation.
- Assist with laundry duties and ensure the unit is maintained in a timely manner.
- Monitor client job function assignments and perform reception and general administrative support duties.
- Prepare and maintain clinical documentation in the electronic health record and complete progress notes.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED and some experience working with clients who have behavioral health disorders and/or intellectual disabilities.
- Valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Ability to work weekends, variable shifts, and holidays.
- Basic typing and computer skills.
