Job Title: Structural Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Designer to join our team at Kiewit Corporation. As a Structural Designer, you will be responsible for creating and developing building information models (BIM) for foundations and steel structures, working closely with engineers and other disciplines to ensure project success.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with design group team members to review and exchange project information necessary for design and development
  • Gather required information and collaborate with engineers and multiple disciplines to develop BIM models for foundations and steel structures
  • Leverage BIM to create plans, drawings, and details
  • Assist in the development of department standards and tools
  • Mentor other team members in design and modeling techniques
Qualifications:
  • Associate's, Bachelor's degree or a vocational training program in Computer Aided Design; or high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 1 year of structural design experience using Revit
  • Demonstrate ability to interpret multi-discipline engineering and vendor documents
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and constructively with other team members and disciplines both verbally and in written form
  • Knowledge and experience with BIM software (Revit) is required. Basic knowledge of the latest computer operating systems is required
  • Knowledge of basic spreadsheet, database, word processing programs

  • Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies
  • Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required
