Position Overview
This position is designed for individuals looking to gain experience and develop skills necessary for a future role as a Case Manager. As a floater within our office, you will have the opportunity to train alongside various attorneys and case staff, gaining invaluable insights into the legal process.
Compensation
The starting pay for this role is $20 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist and observe Case Managers in their daily tasks.
- Request medical records from healthcare providers.
- Compile detailed demands and prepare documentation for submission to insurance carriers.
- Conduct thorough investigations into case details and facts.
- Learn negotiation techniques for reducing outstanding medical balances with providers.
- Draft necessary documents and correspondence to facilitate settlements in cases.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1-2 years of experience in an administrative role, insurance adjusting, or a support position, preferably within a legal environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly.
- Desire to learn and collaborate with various team members.
- Proficient in computer applications, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite, with a typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.
