About the Role

U.S. Water Services Corporation is seeking experienced Construction Laborers for challenging Water + Wastewater Construction projects throughout the Tampa Bay Area, FL. As a Construction Laborer, you will perform a variety of tasks involving manual labor in heavy construction projects, including manual work in pump/lift station demolition, rehabilitation, and new construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform manual labor tasks in heavy construction projects, including material and supply handling and storage, load/unload trucks, haul/hoist materials, and dig and expose utility piping.
  • Act as a trainee to operate heavy equipment, such as backhoes, excavators, and tractors.
  • Perform confined space entries to access wastewater wet wells for demolition.
  • Perform a variety of trades, including carpentry, concrete work, pipe work, and grading and landscaping.
  • Maintain a clean job site by picking up tools and equipment and securing the site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
  • Follow all company safety rules and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriate for the job at hand.
Requirements
  • Heavy labor construction experience with a willingness and ability to perform manual work.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license. CDL a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
Work Environment

Regularly works at construction sites near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt. Frequent exposure to sewage, wastewater, and related bad smells. Work next to open trenches.
