Academy Postdoctoral Researcher Juha Koivisto is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor of Criminal Justice to join our team at the New Orleans Center. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching a variety of Criminal courses face to face in the evening.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Teach graduate and/or undergraduate students in assigned course(s)
  • Abide by and uphold the University's mission, policies, and core values
  • Develop and/or implement the class syllabus once it meets School standards
  • Plan and create course materials such as lectures, discussions, and assignments
  • Assign grades for students based on such criteria as participation, performance in class, assignments, and examinations
  • Collaborate with colleagues on course design, content, and curriculum
  • Meet all scheduled class periods
  • Be available to students for individual consultation
  • Assist students on how to be successful in class
  • Stay current within field of study

**Requirements**

  • Minimum of a Master's Degree in the discipline or a related discipline
  • Strong commitment to the mission, vision and strategic goals of Upper Iowa University
  • Committed to excellence in teaching

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Doctorate
  • Teaching experience in higher education
