Academy Postdoctoral Researcher Juha Koivisto is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor of Criminal Justice to join our team at the New Orleans Center. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching a variety of Criminal courses face to face in the evening.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Teach graduate and/or undergraduate students in assigned course(s)
- Abide by and uphold the University's mission, policies, and core values
- Develop and/or implement the class syllabus once it meets School standards
- Plan and create course materials such as lectures, discussions, and assignments
- Assign grades for students based on such criteria as participation, performance in class, assignments, and examinations
- Collaborate with colleagues on course design, content, and curriculum
- Meet all scheduled class periods
- Be available to students for individual consultation
- Assist students on how to be successful in class
- Stay current within field of study
**Requirements**
- Minimum of a Master's Degree in the discipline or a related discipline
- Strong commitment to the mission, vision and strategic goals of Upper Iowa University
- Committed to excellence in teaching
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Doctorate
- Teaching experience in higher education
