Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Production Planner to join our dynamic team at The Employment Firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing production schedules to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of products with the Sr Production Planner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and resource availability.
  • Collaborate with supply chain management to ensure materials are available for production.
  • Implement process improvement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to manage inventory levels and scheduling.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to meet changing demands.
  • Work closely with production management to identify bottlenecks and recommend solutions.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in production scheduling or a related field, with a strong understanding of supply chain processes.
  • Familiarity with MRP systems, SAP, or similar software is preferred.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and process improvement methodologies.
  • Mechanical knowledge is a plus, enabling effective communication with engineering and maintenance teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities.

Pay Range: 60-70k (Based on experience)
