Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Documentation Specialist Physician Advisor to join our team at Houston Methodist Hospital.

About the Role

Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze medical records to identify areas of improvement in clinical documentation and provide education and guidance to physicians and other healthcare professionals on best practices for accurate and compliant documentation.
  • Collaborate with case management staff to develop and implement strategies for improving documentation and reducing length of stay.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and reduce costs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with physicians and other healthcare professionals to promote effective communication and collaboration.
  • Stay up-to-date on regulatory requirements and industry developments to ensure compliance and best practices.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited medical school.
  • Five years of recent experience in clinical practice.
  • Unrestricted medical license in the State of Texas.
  • Active participation in continuing education and professional development.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $140,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, Houston Methodist Hospital offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
