Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Dover Corporation. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and testing complex mechanical equipment, ensuring high-quality products that meet our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, blueprints, and layout drawings to assemble equipment accurately.
  • Measure and inspect parts using micrometers, feeler gauges, and other precision tools to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Operate pneumatic circuits, cylinders, valves, regulators, and controls to assemble and test equipment.
  • Position parts and subassemblies by lifting, bending, and kneeling, working overhead from a kneeling or laying position, and lifting up to 80 pounds.
  • Document labor hours, complete production and quality forms, and report any discrepancies with work order material BOMs.
  • Run conduit, mount junction boxes, and pull wire to various electrical devices and motors, terminating wires as required per electrical drawing.
  • Participate in team continuous improvement projects, tracking required metrics and participating in daily meetings.
  • Operate overhead cranes using slings, straps, or other devices to lift and move heavy equipment.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent education (additional technical skills a plus).
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with a general understanding of basic mechanics or millwright hand tool use.
  • Ability to work from engineering drawings and interpret electrical drawings.
  • Familiarity with pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized and efficient in approaching tasks.
  • Independent self-starter with ability to problem solve and anticipate and avoid issues.
  • Strong team player, work ethic, and commitment to win.
  • Customer-focused.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends when required.
  • Follow and support company safety practices and policies.
