Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a range of challenging and intricate legal tasks while exercising considerable discretion and working with minimal supervision.
  • Research and evaluate legal principles on complex matters.
  • Compile legal research and analysis into a clear and comprehensive written memorandum or brief for submission to clients, courts, or arbitrators.
  • Review and summarize complex legal documents, including contracts, and recommend modifications as necessary.
  • Manage the discovery process for various electronically stored information and physical documents in preparation for litigation.
  • Engage in negotiations with external parties regarding contractual matters and legal disputes, including settlement discussions.
  • Take and defend depositions while fostering trust-based relationships with clients.
  • Fulfill the firm's minimum billable hour expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois state bar with a minimum of one year of experience.
