Job Summary

We are seeking a part-time Physical Therapist to join our team at ADAPT Community Network. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for providing evaluation, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention to students with developmental disabilities. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote the students' physical and functional abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations to identify students' strengths and needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' physical and functional goals
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, including exercises, activities, and interventions to promote physical function and mobility
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive care
  • Document students' progress and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner
  • Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss students' progress and develop treatment plans
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Physical Therapy or related field
  • Current New York State license in Physical Therapy
  • One year of experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in a pediatric setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
