Role Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will contribute to the Department of Biomedical Sciences, focusing on educational, service, and research objectives within the College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM). Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering engaging lectures and hands-on instruction across various formats in the Scientific Foundations of Medicine and Organ Systems Curriculum.
- Participating in curriculum design, development, and assessment.
- Collaborating with faculty across departments to enhance educational offerings.
- Providing academic advising to students regarding their success and professional development.
- Engaging in committee work and other university service as required.
- Creating assessments in areas of expertise.
- Conducting research and promoting student-led research initiatives.
- Adhering to accreditation standards and institutional policies.
- Upholding the mission and values of PNWU in all professional conduct.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to teaching systems physiology and related biomedical disciplines at the medical education level. A PhD, DO, or MD is required, with a preference for candidates holding a PhD in physiology or a closely related field. Experience in teaching at the graduate or medical education level is highly desirable.
